An SPF of 30 is a great choice and sufficient for effective sun protection. Our sunscreen is rated SPF 30+ because the results obtained by an independent certified laboratory were higher than an SPF of 30. But what is SPF? The sun protection factor mainly measures the duration of your sun protection after application. We multiply the SPF by 10 minutes, which equals 300 minutes, or 5 hours for an SPF of 30.
Your dermatologist recommends an SPF of 75? Tell him that no product can display an SPF higher than 50 according to the new FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulations that have jurisdiction in Canada. An SPF of 75 will not offer your child better protection. It is important to note that duration alone is a significant factor. In the marketing madness of sunscreen products, some manufacturers take advantage of consumer confusion and offer SPFs of 90 and even 100, but it is essential to understand that this does not guarantee superior protection.

Our sunscreen displays an NPN (Natural Product Number) because it does not contain chemical filters, which are assigned a DIN number.
