How to store your bath bombs at home?
Humidity is the enemy of bath bombs. That's why it's not recommended to store them in the bathroom (ironic, right?). The more moisture they're exposed to, the more likely they are to lose their fizz. We suspect they'll still be stored in the bathroom, so if possible, store them in their original packaging. Our bag further protects them from moisture and keeps the scent fresh. Be aware that once unpacked, their aroma may begin to fade after two to three weeks.
Avoid pretty glass bowls. The fizziness of bath bombs is the result of the reaction between baking soda and citric acid, which, when in contact with water, creates a beautiful fizz. By absorbing ambient moisture, the bomb emits a gas, which puts the container under pressure if the gas cannot escape from the airtight jar. The glass jar could then explode under the pressure, which could be dangerous. If you insist on storing your bombs in a glass jar, leave the lid ajar to allow the gas to escape.
Exposure to sunlight or strong light can discolor and affect the texture of bath bombs. Avoid displaying them near a window. Keep in mind that we do not use preservatives and that grape seed oil has a shelf life. Generally, 6 months is the maximum, but we recommend using them within one month of purchase to get the most effervescence, aroma, and benefits.
If you're like a little squirrel and have stocked up, store them in a cool, dry place in their original packaging.
Additionally, not all bath bombs are meant to float, depending on their purpose or intention. Our bath bombs are created for an unforgettable experience with unparalleled softness on your skin. They contain many luxurious and soothing ingredients, so many don't float, but you won't be disappointed.
Have a nice bath!
